Fair Work Act

The fair work act commences on 1 July 2009 and has far reaching implications to your business.

Changes include that all small businesses must comply with a Fair Dismissal Code when terminating an employee, union right of entry to the workplace has been simplified, redundancy payments widened, parental leave increased to 24 months, flexible working arrangement legislated for and penalties increased. This is just a brief taste of what is to happen 1 July 2009
