Fair Work is here with all its changes and modern awards. Some practical goals for your business 2010 ‘New Year’s’ resolutions maybe;

1.   Review and update your employment agreements for the new changes to be legally compliant;

2.   Review your policies and procedures; are they compliant with your employment obligations;

3.   Re-induct your employees to remind them of their obligations and remember that if you cannot prove your employees were regularly updated you will be held responsible in the event of a workplace incident.

4.   Think about equipping your employees. Equipping is hands on ‘how to’ as compared with training which we define as merely information dissemination and somewhat impractical.
