Directing Employees to take Annual Leave


We are often asked whether you can direct an employee to take excess annual leave.  In certain circumstances you can so long as the award covering their employment permits it coupled with a reasonable notice period.

There are many issues concerning businesses today with employees accruing large amounts of excess leave. However there are a few traps and you would be advised to research and take on this matter carefully.
